Background Checks - For each and every single tutor that we hire we run a multi-faceted background check that searches through over 500 million criminal records from over 1,000 sources, including county court records, state repositories, departments of corrections (DOC), administrative office of courts (AOC), state sex and violent offender registries, government exclusion and terrorist watch lists, and more.
Subject Test - To ensure that potential tutors are experts in their field we require that they complete a timed test in each subject that they tutor. Tutors must score 100% in the subject test to qualify.
In-Person Interview - Finally, each Tutor is interviewed in-person to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and teaching experience. We ask in-depth questions about their strategies and approaches to teaching and how they would motivate students to learn.
